Kindness is Contagious!!!

Random Acts of Kindness -
what a remarkable phrase! I remember the first time I heard
it. It reached deep down inside of me and resonated within my
soul. I suspected that it would have a similar affect on many
others. It has. It's a grassroots movement that's been
celebrated world wide for 5 years now. Oprah Winfrey and Leeza
Gibbons have featured the movement on their shows. I wanted to get
involved.
You see, we affect one
another, you and I. I realized that I have been uplifted and
encouraged because from time-to-time people have done me small favors or
kindnesses that helped to wash away the many unkind things that I have
seen done. It helped contribute to a personal philosophy of
positivism and a commitment to doing good deeds.
If you are inspired by
this simple little phrase and would like to participate, you don't have
to contribute any money, join any organization, or go to any
meetings. All that is required is that you be attuned to the world
around you, and that when you see someone in need, you take
action. I personally use the phrase "be of
service". What can I do to contribute?
The Tampa Bay Computer
Society participated in Random Acts of Kindness week in 2000 through
2006. People
brought in their computers and we fixed most of them or at least pointed
them in the right direction to get them fixed. These clinics have
been so rewarding for all that are involved that we continue to sponsor
more of them.
